The Bay City Times says the event will include guided bus tours of the 32-windmill Harvest Wind Farm in Oliver and Chandler townships, located 110 miles north of Detroit, plus a 5K walk and run, bicycle tour, softball tournament, live music and family activities.

Traverse City, Michigan was the first municipal utility in the state to install a utility scale turbine in 1996.
Mackinaw City, MI: Community Wind Project
Two turbines were installed in 2001 on old sewer spray fields to help power Mackinaw City, Michigan.
